Celebrating The Life of Tanya Kai Gray

Tanya Kai Gray
July 7,1971-November 11, 2008

She was an amazing person with a heart for our Lord God, Tanya had two children; her daughter Pualani who is now 14 years old, and her son Kavika who is 7 years old.

For those of you, who knew her she had an amazing spirit, You never knew what you'd get when visiting with her, but it the differences that made her unique and amazing!! Tanya was not just a teacher in the academic aspect, but taught us a few things in Life's classroom as well.

She left 3 brothers; Taiwo, Robert, and Daniel Gray and 2 sisters; Krisiti, and Uilani Gray. We will all remember you and miss always...

Tanya's Twilight
I've seen the sunrise and the sunset with just a smile
And in Twilight, i remember, and will always remember conversations past
When you spoke of your dreams, desires and successes, I smile in adoration, and look at you with love
I've heard it said our blood lines is what connects us but i say its the bond of sisterhood that is the make up for what exists now and for always
Through spirit and love, through hardships and joys we are one, we are forever, you living thru me and she,he and make us Etrenal
and in Twilight i will call out to your memory, reach out and remember that......
You are now and will always be Twilight.....

A Letter to Charles Gray- From Dirk Anderson

Dear Brah: I am so sorry you left us, too early brother. I don't know if you knew this, but when Robert and I were kids about 8 or nine, and other kids picked on me, one of the fastest ways I got them to leave me alone was to tell them that I knew you. The 50's and 60's were hell Brah, but things got a little better after that. I will never know how it affected you but I know how it affected this white boy with the father who was part American Indian. One of the biggest compliments you ever gave me and it didn't matter if you saw me yesterday or years later, you would always call me Blood, "Hey , what's happening Blood!" It always made me feel warm and loved , like I belonged. And everyone wants to feel loved, and you always made me feel loved Brother. My only regret is that I never told you this. So as IZ would say; Set me a plate Brah, and be there when I cross, I sure liked your fried chicken Brah. Mother Gray did it right but then you learned from mom. Missing you Brother. "N'Oubliez Jamais" I never will. Your friend and Brother always,

Dirk Anderson

Thank you Dirk on behalf of the gray family,

With warm Regards, Kristi

Charles E. Gray
1942-2010

A Gentle Giant

Standing as tall as towers rise
A big hearted high spirited man
With his blue overalls in tacked,
A white chariot for trucking long the way
Charles was the gentle giant of his time
From the house, to the neighboring hoods,
to the steeple.
The steward of Santa Rosa’s everyday peoples
Yes, he was a gentle giant
He had a smile that could light up the darkest of days
Something that compared to none

This “Gentle Giant”
This man, who graced us all, meant something to everyone.
Now the time has come to for him to move on
Leaving us with euphoric memories

Till glory then, now you’re going home again

May God keep you
For you were a Giant among men
God speed then Charlie
You Sweet, Sweet man.

~Niece: Kristi Gray.
